IGALLAXY LTD is seeking a skilled and motivated IT Technician to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, configuring, and maintaining a wide range of consumer electronic devices, while providing excellent technical support and customer service. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with strong technical expertise and a passion for problem-solving to contribute to a fast-paced electronics repair business.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair faults in smartphones, tablets, laptops, desktop computers, and other consumer electronic devices.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware, operating systems, software applications, and peripheral devices.
  • Perform component replacements, including screens, batteries, charging ports, storage devices, keyboards, and other internal hardware.
  • Carry out software installations, operating system updates, data backup, data recovery, and virus or malware removal.
  • Conduct comprehensive diagnostic testing to identify hardware and software faults and recommend appropriate repair solutions.
  • Configure internet connectivity, Wi-Fi networks, routers, printers, and other peripheral equipment where required.
  • Maintain accurate repair records, service documentation, and inventory usage using the company’s management systems.
  • Ensure all repairs are completed in accordance with company quality standards and health and safety procedures.
  • Keep up to date with new technologies, repair methods, and developments in consumer electronics.
  • Provide professional technical advice and excellent customer service by explaining repair processes, timescales, and available solutions.

Requirements

  • Previous experience repairing consumer electronic devices or providing IT technical support.
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and operating systems, including Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS.
  • Experience diagnosing and resolving hardware and software faults.
  • Ability to repair and replace electronic components using appropriate tools and equipment.
  • Good understanding of networking fundamentals, including Wi-Fi, routers, TCP/IP, and internet connectivity.
  • Experience with software installation, system configuration, data backup, and recovery procedures.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Good organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple repair tasks.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.
  • A relevant qualification in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electronics, or a related field is desirable but not essential where suitable practical experience can be demonstrated.
