Job Purpose
As the Construction Manager at Purajit Constructions Ltd, you will take full responsibility for the planning, execution, and delivery of commercial building projects. You will act as the bridge between the design team, site staff, and the Director, ensuring that all commercial developments meet our high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership: Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion, ensuring they align with commercial building specifications (SIC 41201).
Site Management: Coordinate and supervise on-site subcontractors and internal staff to maintain peak productivity.
Financial Oversight: Monitor project budgets closely to ensure the £45k-level investment in leadership translates to profitable, cost-effective delivery.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure all sites strictly adhere to UK Health & Safety regulations, building codes, and legal requirements.
Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular progress reports to Director Raj Kumar Sharma and collaborate with HR Manager Sukhwinder Singh Khaisra on staffing and performance matters.
Resource Planning: Manage the procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring zero downtime on site.
Requirements & Qualifications
Experience: Proven track record in commercial construction management.
Technical Skills: Deep understanding of construction methodologies, blueprints, and project management software.
Leadership: Strong ability to manage diverse teams and resolve on-site conflicts effectively.
Certification: Relevant construction qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 6/7, CSCS Black Card, or SMSTS) are highly preferred.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written English skills.
