Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Adult Education Tutor to deliver engaging, high-quality lessons to adult learners through both in-person and online sessions. The successful candidate will support adults in developing essential academic, digital, and practical skills while adapting teaching methods to suit different learning abilities and backgrounds. This role requires a passionate educator who can inspire confidence, encourage lifelong learning, and help learners achieve their personal and professional goals.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver lessons tailored to adult learners.
- Assess learners and create individual learning plans.
- Teach subjects such as English, Maths, Digital Skills, or employability skills.
- Adapt teaching methods to suit different learning abilities.
- Deliver both classroom and online sessions.
- Monitor learner progress and provide regular feedback.
- Prepare lesson materials and maintain learner records.
- Promote an inclusive, supportive, and engaging learning environment.
- Ensure safeguarding and quality standards are followed.
Skills
- Excellent communication and teaching skills.
- Strong lesson planning and organisational abilities.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and online learning platforms.
- Ability to motivate and support adult learners.
- Good record-keeping and assessment skills.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and adult learning principles.
