Job Overview:
The Commercial Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the commercial activities of MEDSEC LIMITED, ensuring the company remains competitive, financially sustainable, and strategically positioned within the security and safety services sector. The role involves overseeing contracts, supporting business development, managing client relationships, and ensuring that all commercial agreements align with the company’s operational objectives and compliance requirements. The Commercial Manager will work closely with senior leadership to drive revenue growth, enhance service delivery, and support long-term organisational success.
2. Essential Job Functions
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement commercial strategies to support business growth and profitability.
Manage client contracts, negotiate service agreements, and ensure favourable commercial terms for the company.
Identify new business opportunities and support tender preparation, bids, and contract acquisition.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and key stakeholders.
Prepare budgets, cost analyses, and financial forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
Monitor contract performance to ensure services are delivered in accordance with agreed terms and quality standards.
Work collaboratively with operations teams to align commercial objectives with service delivery.
Analyse market trends and competitor activity to strengthen MEDSEC LIMITED’s market position.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and commercial best practices.
Prepare regular commercial reports, risk assessments, and performance updates for senior management.
Support pricing strategies and resource planning to maximise operational efficiency and profitability.
3. Education and Experience
Required
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Business Administration, Commercial Management, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a commercial, business development, or contract management role.
Proven track record in contract negotiation, revenue generation, and client relationship management.
Licenses / Certifications
Professional certification in Commercial or Project Management (preferred).
Membership of a recognised professional body such as CIPS, CIM, or IoD (advantageous).
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working within the security, facilities management, or service-based industry.
Strong financial and analytical skills with a solid understanding of cost control and profit management.
Excellent negotiation, leadership, and strategic planning abilities.

Hours of Work
Full-time position. Typical hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm, with flexibility based on business needs.
Overtime Expectations
Additional hours may be required during tender submissions, contract negotiations, or critical business periods.
Work Environment
Primarily office-based with occasional visits to client sites and operational locations.
Travel Requirements
Travel may be required to meet clients, attend business meetings, and support operational activities. Travel expenses reimbursed in line with company policy.
On-call Responsibilities
Occasional availability may be required to address urgent commercial matters or client requirements.
