Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Transport and Distribution Manager to oversee and manage our daily logistics operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and cost-effective distribution of goods while maintaining high standards of service and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, coordinate, and manage transportation and distribution operations
Oversee warehousing and storage activities to ensure efficiency
Monitor delivery schedules and ensure timely dispatch of goods
Manage budgets, costs, and resource allocation
Ensure compliance with transport regulations and health & safety standards
Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams
Supervise and train staff to maintain operational excellence
Implement strategies to improve productivity and service quality
Requirements:
Proven experience in transport, logistics, or distribution management
Strong organizational and leadership skills
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
Knowledge of transport regulations and industry standards
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Relevant qualification in logistics, business management, or related field (preferred)
