Science Teacher – Inspire Curiosity, Excellence and Achievement
We are seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and dedicated Science Teacher to join our committed and supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding teacher who is passionate about inspiring young people and fostering a love of science through engaging and challenging lessons.
The successful candidate will deliver high-quality teaching across the Science curriculum, helping students develop scientific knowledge, practical skills and critical thinking. You will create a positive learning environment where all pupils are encouraged to achieve their full potential, regardless of ability.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured Science lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
Assess, monitor and support student progress, providing effective feedback to maximise achievement.
Promote high standards of behaviour, attendance and academic excellence.
Prepare students for internal and external examinations.
Contribute to curriculum development and departmental improvement initiatives.
Ensure practical lessons are conducted safely and in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
Participate fully in the wider life of the school, including enrichment activities and school events.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
A strong subject knowledge in Science (Biology, Chemistry and/or Physics).
Experience teaching Science at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (Key Stage 5 experience is desirable but not essential).
Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
A commitment to raising standards and helping every student succeed.
The ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated and supportive team.
