GC Logiistics Ltd is a growing transport and maintenance provider based in St. Neots. Operating across both Road Freight Transport and Vehicle Maintenance/Repair, we pride ourselves on operational reliability and safety. We are currently looking for a dedicated and professional Transport Manager to lead our fleet operations and ensure the highest standards of compliance.
The Role
As the Transport Manager (SOC 1241), you will be the backbone of our logistics department. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our drivers and fleet, ensuring that our freight operations are profitable, legal, and efficient.
Key Duties
Compliance: Full oversight of the Operator’s License, ensuring adherence to all DVSA regulations.
Fleet Maintenance: Coordinating the repair and maintenance schedules for all company vehicles (SIC 45200).
Operations: Planning routes, managing driver schedules, and monitoring tachograph data and drivers’ hours.
Safety: Implementing strict Health & Safety protocols and ensuring all drivers hold valid CPC qualifications.
Reporting: Providing regular updates to the Director on fleet performance and operational costs.
Requirements
Transport Manager CPC (Required): You must hold a valid National or International Certificate of Professional Competence.
Proven Experience: Strong background in road freight and logistics management.
Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with vehicle maintenance standards and transport law.
Leadership: Ability to manage a team of drivers and workshop staff effectively.
