Subby Consultancy Limited is a growing IT consultancy based in Halesowen, providing technology consultancy and IT service solutions to businesses across the UK. We are looking for a skilled and motivated IT Support Technician to join our team.
The Role
As an IT Support Technician, you will provide day-to-day technical support across hardware, software, and networks. You will be responsible for installing and configuring IT systems, diagnosing and resolving issues both remotely and on-site, monitoring system performance, maintaining security measures, and keeping thorough support documentation. You will play a key role in ensuring our clients and internal operations run smoothly from a technology standpoint.
What You Will Be Doing
Providing first and second-line technical support to users and clients. Installing, configuring, and maintaining IT equipment and systems. Troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues remotely and on-site. Monitoring system performance and applying security updates. Managing user accounts, access permissions, and email systems. Maintaining accurate support logs and documentation. Liaising with external vendors and suppliers as needed. Supporting IT projects including upgrades and system rollouts.
What We Are Looking For
A relevant IT qualification at degree level or equivalent. At least one year of experience in an IT support or helpdesk environment. Solid knowledge of operating systems, networking, and common software applications. Good understanding of IT security practices. Strong problem-solving abilities and a methodical approach to troubleshooting. Clear communication skills and the ability to work well with both technical and non-technical colleagues. The ability to manage your workload and prioritise effectively.
